어느 책에선가 고호의 이야기를 시작하며
\"천재란 시대를 앞서가는 사람이다\"라고 했던 것을 본 기억이 납니다.
하지만 전 고호를 천재라기 보다 세상을 힘들게 고뇌 하며 살았던 사람으로 보고 싶습니다.
영혼을 빨아 들이는 듯한 그의 그림을 보면 대다수의 우리들과 틀리긴 한 것 같지만,
결국 고뇌와 고통속에 살아야 하는 모든 사람들의 대변자 일 뿐이라는 생각이 듭니다.
